How You Can Help The Bridge is a non-profit organization committed to ending Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Our purpose is to empower those who have been affected by violence, provide options and give support to individuals so that new beginnings away from violence can start. Please note that just because an item isn't on the list doesn't mean we don't need it. We work very hard with the people we serve to provide individualized help. If you have items that you would like to donate but aren't sure if we can use them, please call. We are frequently asked if we will take donations of used infant furniture (cribs, playpens, high chairs, etc.) and car seats. Because the safety of children is our first priority, we cannot accept these items. Product recalls and safety warnings have become an unfortunate part of our lives. We cannot assure our clients that a donated item is completely safe.Sadly, many toys fall under this same category. We cannot accept used stuffed animals or infant walkers. The Bridge is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and your donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law. Gifts may be listed in our newsletter, on our website or in our annual report unless you request anonymity.
