What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior that one intimate partner exerts over another as a means of control.  Domestic violence may include physical, emotional, sexual or economic abuse.   

For residents of Dunn and Pepin Counties in Wisconsin

The Bridge Domestic Violence Services include:

  • 24 Hour Crisis Line
  • Shelter: Providing a safe place to stay
  • Crisis Support:  Providing options and resources
  • Safety Planning
  • Assistance with filing restraining orders and court procedures.
  • Speakers: Speaking about domestic violence and sexual assault to community groups and schools
  • Advocacy: Advocating with law enforcement, medical, court and housing systems
  • Support Group:  Adult Victims of Domestic Violence support group meets weekly on Thursdays 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm.
